One of my most favorite time of the year...one reason would be the bountiful parties where you get to catch up with long time friends, meet new ones, and reunite with family and relatives in a joyous occassion. Another reason would be the festive decorations and the lights everywhere which makes your heart all warm and fuzzy! The best reason for me would be SHOPPING for gifts and looking for the best ones to give. So here are what I've gotten friends and family...and myself (so far..haha!)

After a day of shopping and walking around, this is a great idea to relax and unwind... having your nails done while catching up on the latest magazines and having a glass of chardonnay :) Their service and ambience is by far the best in BGC! A must try and it won't burn your wallets!

Lovely finds in here! Snatched this 12-piece Bobbi Brown make up brush set from eBay for only P1,000! Happy make-up lover me! Also snagged Ellana mineral concealers for my dreary undereyes and blemishes. Speaking of blemishes, I've finally decided to try this miracle worker everyone's been raving about...let's hope Mario Badescu does wonders for me too! Also in the loot, my new Revlon Just Bitten! Don't you just get all giddy when you get new make up and skin care? I know I do! :D

Attended my sister's brother in law's wedding last weekend. It was great to get all dressed up and dolled up after a long time. Thanks to our new found make up artist, Vicky..she made us feel like a star that evening.

Yes, I finally had my hair cut and did some color and highlights along the way...It's that time of the year when all I thought about was how to look different...been researching on different salons but decided not to try new salons just yet...my heart belongs to Franck Provost! Thanks to my stylist for making A's heart skip a beat when he first saw "the cut" :)

I love the interiors of the salon and the service the staff provide. I always stay at one of the seats on their second floor and feel secluded while I catch up on my favorite magazines. My favorite indulgence is to not care about the hours passsing by while reading InStyle! Nothing like a day off from work and pampering myself! Did I mention the service?? Everyone is so professional and friendly. They make you feel like you can really trust them to leave you satisfied. This is the only time I let my guard down and tell them "I leave it all up to you. Make me look good!" 

And so, drum roll please......ta-dah!

The cut cost me P570, color is at P1790 while highlights priced at P3300. Not bad for a new look! It was 3 1/2 hours of fun and relaxation for me! Did I mention I was here for color and highlights 6 months back? And with the darker base she gave me, it might take me a good while to come back for another change! Totally worth my money! Be sure to ask for Precy when you decide to try FP!

Might be worth mentioning that Jing Monis Salon has opened its doors in their new branch in Alabang. The salon is at the 3rd level (by the infinity pool) of Belleview Hotel. I was choosing between JMS and FP. I will definitely try their services next time, maybe for a treatment or a haircut ;)

Gumdrop

Went home relatively early from work yesterday and decided to visit my favorite nail salon, Get Polished! Since we're off to the beach this weekend, I went for a blue/green hue...chose this cutie from Orly named GUMDROP!

With all the nice bright shades they have in the store, this is proof how fickle I can be when it comes to making choices...

The French country-inspired interiors of the nail salon...it's very relaxing and they have the best nail technicians in the house! No one has ever dealt with my precious nails like they do!

What's in my bag?

Or in this case, what's in my vanity bag? If I were to put items inside my bag, it wouldn't be a pretty sight! Aside from it being disorganized, I have tons of unnecessary mess in it...from papers to dried out pens, to expired mints/medicines..maybe even a snake! So to save face, lemme just show you what's in my make up bag ;)

1. Ellana Mineral Foundation. I love using this intensive coverage powder! It leaves my skin looking poreless without getting my skin in trouble. Goodbye to greasy, cakey, heavy feeling!

2. MAC Studio Fix Foundation in NC40. Although my derma prohibits me to use this, I still have my cheat days! I love the coverage but it damages my skin! I guess my skin really doesn't agree with caucasian formulated cosmetics. I get an instant all day freshness whenever I use this!

3. Shu Uemura Rougue Unlimited Supreme Shine Lipstick in 957. It glides on perfectly and has a hint of glitter that makes my puckers shine! I have 3 of these!

4. NARS Blush in Orgasm. Pretty shade of pink that gives my cheeks a natural flush.

5. Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick in Top Tomato. Adds instant color! Perfect for nights out or for those days when I'm too lazy to put on make up. I just put on this, and it instantly makes me feel sexy..haha!

6. Kiehl's Lip Balm. A Must-Have!!! Need I say more??

7. NYX Round Lipstick in Fig. For those days when I feel like having pale Barbie lips. It's not too over-powering, nor too trendy for the conservative office.

Presenting my new finds...

I must say, I'm totally adoring the new concealer! I used to be a MAC and Cinema Secrets fan, but now I'm hooked to this! You can use it for practically any flaw you want to camouflage! I'm an MUFE convert!

e.l.f. products are very promising! Easy on the pockets, yet very effective and friendly on my skin! Tempted to try their eye products!
