Of dimsums and ducks

Second day of our HK adventure, and yes, you guessed it right! We were out to do more shopping! Haha!

It was a glorious day for walking! Felt like we were always running from it all...good thing I still get a few chances to whip out my camera and take a few shots of this wonderful country!

So wanna go back again by the end of the year when the weather is nippy! Would be happy to get my a** frozen this time around ;)

For brunch, we headed to a quaint lil resto called Carpaccio...it was delicious Italian food!

Bulldogs & Sticky Fingers

Today was H&M/Mango/Zara/Cotton On time!!! Trooped Granville Rd and Queens Road for good finds with great deals! I was feeling tired too soon, maybe the weather got the better outta me, I couldn't let a good day pass, I guess I just needed sugar...loads of them! Nice excuse, don't you think? ;)

Hello truffle... I think I'm in Heaven!

Couldn't stop staring

Yummy Macarons!
We had dinner at this great Chinese Restaurant over at iSquare Building near our hotel called New Canton Restaurant...Authentic Cantonese food which promised divinity!

Seafood something

Ribs something

Spinach something

We never travelled together without meeting some locals or even some expats living in the country. What better way to do that but by visiting the local bars for a fun night out! That night, we met Bo, a Swiss national who's visiting for a friend's wedding. He approached our table as he heard us speaking Tagalog. Turns out he used to live in the Phils for years during the 80's. Too bad we didn't get to take a photo with him..guess we were all pretty wasted that time! Heehee!

Travelling on an empty suitcase

On the weekend before my birthday, A and I headed to Happy Hong Kong for some R&R and lots of SHOPPING!!! The title serves it right...we travelled on an empty suitcase hoping to fill her up that weekend. Arrived pretty late on a Friday night. Headed to our fave hotel on Kowloon side and had our precious rest befor a looong day. ;)

The next morning, we headed to McDonald's for our favorite muffins and milkshakes and off we went on an outlet shopping spree!

Discovered the Horizon Plaza (near Ocean Park) in an ad in our local broadsheet. Turns out there are warehouses for Joyce, Lane Crawford, Ralph Lauren, IT, Max Mara, Aldo, and so much more. It even has shops for furnitures and housewares. It is one huge building with floors and floors of outlet stores. Pretty promising considering most of the items are on 70-90% off!

My 29th

No words are coming to me now...Unbelievable! I just want to make a post just the same...I am grateful I am alive to witness my 29th year. I am grateful for friends who have shared their lives with me and helped make me who I am today. I am grateful for the love and support I get from my family. I am grateful to experience life and love in more ways than one. I am simply grateful for the journey I am in right now. A lot of detours, stopovers, and a lot of give ways. Thankfully, no temporary stops and U-turns just yet.

Starting today, I will try to look at the world in a child's eyes. No judgments, no critisisms, no expectations, just to see it as it is. I will strive to appreciate what I have and feel eternally blessed for what graces that come my way. I will feel forever lucky to be alive and well.

Thanks for all those who have remembered me on my date of birth. I thank you from the bottom of my heart! Kisses to everyone!

Obssessed Wednesday

All things flowy

There's something about the feel of a flowy maxi dress. It makes you feel like royalty...Maybe it's just me but wearing one makes me feel all dolled up and ready to party..I'm starting to search and hoard all the flowy maxi dresses I can find.

Oh and I found this awesome sketch while I was browsing through...

This D&G ad caught my eye too...

Would love to know what you're currently obssessing on....2 more days an I'm off to HK!!! Can't wait! It's going to be a birthday/shopping weekend I can't grow out of! ;)
