3 years and it's still you!

Celebrated our 3rd year anniversary last Friday. It was a great and romantic day! It all started with this...

Steak All You Want!!!

Drinks with a view from the top

Tiramisu
Gave A something practical as a gift since I know that's what he'll appreciate the most. So an office shirt in his favorite color made him happy. =)

The following day, he totally surprised me when he asked me to pack up some stuff as we head to Tagaytay for the weekend. Imagine the smile I gave him when we finally checked in Discovery Country Suites. Last year he surprised me in Verbena (a restaurant of the same hotel) for a Vday brunch...I looove surprises and he really did awesome this time around! I wasn't expecting it at all...I guess I was only hoping for it ;)

It truly was a relaxing weekend for us and did I mention it was also a foodfest the whole time? Thanks for your sweet gesture! I loved it! :D

Ceasar Salad with Grilled Chicken

Seafood Vongole

New York Pizza
Had lunch in Buorn Giorno at the Cliff House. It's always the best value-for-money Italian restaurant in Tagaytay for us! ;) The ambience is great, the service is speedy and friendly, the food is really tasty! Comfort food at its finest!

living area with a fireplace..perfect for their complimentary milk and cookies at night
After taking a nap, it was off to another restaurant, this time Filipino for dinner. We headed over to Pamana Restaurant.

innovative condiments set up

Tinuktok (taro leaves with shrimps in chili and coconut cream sauce)

Sugpo (Tiger prawns in garlic and olive oil)
It was so-so. Nothing to rave about and the taro leaves were kind of cooked in a bad way, hence my tonsils started acting up in the middle of the meal. It was itchy and felt as if there were small thorns that got stuck to it. Grateful for our waiter though as he quickly took out the dish and gave me vanilla ice cream to soothe the discomfort. In minutes, I was relieved and started to eat again. We also had sizzling sisig but I forgot to take a photo of it (too excited to eat!). We got ourselves a bottle of wine and decided to go back to our suite early and watch some movies instead. Nothing like quality time!

The next morning, yup! you guessed it...it was time for another meal! I think we might have gained 5 pounds in less than 24 hours! :(

fruits in season

Verbena Corned Beef

Pancakes platter
More movies and lazing around afterwards and before we knew it, we had to say goodbye to our wonderful weekend! :( I kept hinting that I want to get used to this life. Not having to worry about work, stress...actually I think I said not having to work period! Haha!

Of course, before heading back, we can't leave Tagaytay without visiting our favorite restaurant, Antonio's. We just love it there! The place is perfection!!! We discovered that the new building is now open for breakfast at Antonio's. The place, as expected, is gorgeous in its own charm.

Obviously I had to "cheat" for 2 dates during my 30 for 30...it was a special occassion after all and I wanted to dress for the occassion :)

I will see you again, Tagaytay...thanks for the lovely weekend! ;) You never cease to amaze me!

Some shots of Mt. Makiling for you guys...
