Wedding Weekend

We've locked down our church and venue and the date is finally set! Save the date, people...January 31st will be the greatest beginning of A's and my life!

We first locked down the church. We opted to go with Santuario de San Antonio in Forbes as it was the only church available on our originally planned date, February 1, 2013. This is conveniently located right across the village where we will hold our reception...convenience and practicality..check! This is also A's favorite church and he shares that the first time he attended a wedding here, he immediately thought to himself that this is the church he will get married in :)

One of the challenges in wedding preparations was presented to us through our reception venue. It was absolutely one of our non-negotiables that's why we had to go for it even though we had to move our date to a Thursday which in the end, was better. 01.31.13. The date feels pretty awesomel to me!

I initially wanted to hold the reception in an old house with a sprawling garden as a view. I searched and searched and to my surprise, I suddenly stumbled on this nice function place not very popular for weddings since it's in an exclusive village in the heart of Makati. I just love how my vision is captured by this place. The place is surrounded by tall glass windows which gives you a 360 degree view of the beautiful garden outside. And to top it all off, the venue is cheap! P20K for the first 4 hours!!!

A few snapshots of the venue when we went there to book it. There was a mass in the afternoon, hence the set up...

A taking in the magnificent feel of the place

where I can possible put in a few cocktail tables and lounge chairs

glass all around!
I got some ideas on how to set it up from the web...

guests can stay here while waiting for us

i looove the draping!

I'm excited as ever to plan this! Here we go!!!

  3. What a blast! Besides having a great grasp of perspective, what a great…grasp of perspective…such artists have to pour so much heart into something so ephemeral.

    Cheers!

  4. 20k for the 1st 4 hours? that's a steal, indeed, with the privacy tossed in coz exclusive villages are away from the hustle and bustle of the city
