usually when spring/summer is around the corner, my mood is all about being bold and bright with colors but there's just something about pastels that entice me this season...I'm welcoming pale nails! it looks clean and chic! I'm sporting a pale pink right now..

I'm dying to try other pale shades this summer!

It's a lovely start to the week again...Sporting this lovely shade of blue on my nails as well!

Tons of work to look forward to and tons of guests to take out and entertain after work...what a week this will be!

 

I'm really hoping I can squeeze in a work out or 2 in this busy busy week...Oh and I badly need to have my fringe fixed..it's starting to get to my eyes! Haha!

Too many cakes

It was my friend's 31st and what better way to celebrate it but by surprising here with cakes..lots of them! We brought some to her office desk in the afternoon then decided to surprise her again after dinner...Happy birthday, J! We love you to bits! ;)

Yummy Yakitori

In our efforts to have a healthier lifestyle, we checked out a new yakitori restaurant in the village. We can't stop ourselves from eating out, so why not discover restaurants which offer healthy options? Tucked away in an unassuming space near the public market, it is definitely a hole in the wall waiting to surprise your tastebuds. The fact that the Japanese owner entertains his Jap buddies here adds to the charm and authenticity of the place.

We tried 5 different kinds of yakitori and enjoyed every bit of it! Yakitori is Japanese for grilled meat on skewers. It's very tasty especially when you sprinkle some Japanese chili powder before taking a bite. It really was good...definitely going back for more!

It was a day filled with shopping and getting crazy during the end-of-season sale! Topshop, Gap, Zara, Mango, M&S, Kate Spade were just a few of the names who had red tags on their items...we were in heaven!

I'm going to have to say I was so proud of my BF as he spent more than me that day! He finally decided to have a makeover and got items to replace his old boring ones! He got pants, shoes, belt, tops, the works! I'm a happy lil gal! I think I might have found my best shopping buddy in him!

Found a pair of burgundy jeans in Topshop...still debating whether or not I should get it...my heart still belongs to the cigarette pair I saw in Promod... *sigh*

Remember when my sister and I had spent a full day in IKEA in Singapore here? We just went gaga and had to pay for excess baggage going home.

This time around, I was in a more zen space, I actually bought just one item, maybe because the IKEA store here in Manila is puny compared to its sister stores in HK, Shanghai, and SG. It's just always so nice to get inspirations from this store..I can practically live in the store! :D

catching up on my fave blogs

Today has started to be pretty challenging but I'm thankful to have some time by myself come lunch break. It was so relaxing to come out here and be by myself. This is my favorite part of my building. I didn't expect I'd be able to have some free time today, but I did, so Yay for that!

a look back

2011 was the year I started this blog out of inspiration from all the bloggers I have come to meet online. these girls are full of confidence and great ideas that inspire many like me to be themselves and to create something that's out of the box but still feels your own.

I have embraced countless opportunities both in my personal life and my career. I've learned the art of online selling and got pretty hooked in online shopping as well (who isn't?).

This year was full of discoveries about myself that I've never tapped into before. I've travelled to different countries, dealt with the challenge of visiting a non-English speaking country, learned to be more independent when I got my own place, dealt with life with a little more reality. 2011 proved to be my most challenging year, but it was FUN, FUN, FUN, as always!

Here's to more challenges, greater adventures, and new beginnings! Cheers to 2012!

New year, new beginnings

HAPPY 2012, lovelies!!!

I don't know what happened but I suddenly had a new-found excitement over life when 2012 started. I loved my work more, I found myself hitting the gym more often, and found myself embracing my own style more but still continue to get inspired by my fave bloggers ;)

I feel that this year will bring me better luck, new challenges, more adventures, fun trips, a healthier lifestyle, more shopping (haha!) and over-all great happiness...I'm wishing the same for you guys too!

Here's to a better US this 2012..let's all make it worthwhile!
